Recycling Centres to open 7 Days per Week

West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) is enhancing waste and recycling services by opening recycling centres seven days a week and signing new contracts.

• New Recycling Centre Schedule: From 1 April 2025, all six recycling centres in West Northants will be open seven days a week from 10am to 4pm to provide better access for residents.
• Introduction of Reuse Shops: As part of the new contract with FCC Environment, a new reuse shop will open at Sixfields Household Waste Recycling Centre, complementing the existing shop at Farthinghoe, allowing residents to donate reusable items.
• Residual Waste Treatment: WNC has awarded a contract to Thalia Waste Management to treat residual waste, ensuring at least 95% of it is treated and reducing landfill use, without changing current collection arrangements.
